Settings

To access the Communication Properties dialog box, click on the Settings button in the control window. Select the desired settings for the communication environment, then click on the OK or Apply button. The new settings will now take effect. The communication options are grouped under the following tabs:

Network Speed

Choose the most appropriate option for the network environment used by the program.
Note that when cable modem/DSL/ADSL is used, the network speed is classified as 100-200Kbps in spite of the advertised speed of such network is much higher. This is because the upward connection(i.e., from the PC to the server) of them is typically about 100-200Kbps.

Video Settings

In the Video tab, choose the frame rate, image quality, and image size for the video transmission.
Frame Rate: Choose the number of frames transmitted per second.
Quality and Size: Choose Normal Mode or Fine Mode. Normal Mode transmits an 80 x 64 pixel video image. The Double Size option transmits a 160 x 128 pixel video image.

To set the video size or order, select [Display Setting] then [Video Display Setting] window will appear.
[Video Display Setting] window will also appear when you double click on the Video Display Area where it's pale blue.

Proxy Setup

Proxy setup is required when connecting to the MeetingPlaza server using a proxy server. Clicking on the Proxy tab while logged into a conference room displays the dialog box shown in Figure 1.

Clicking on the Proxy tab after logging out of a conference room displays the dialog box shown in Figure 2. The user can now access the options under the Proxy tab.

Web browser connection method (Follow setting for web browser checkbox): Connects to the MeetingPlaza server using the same connection method as the Web browser.

Direct Connection: Connects to the MeetingPlaza server without using a proxy server.

Direct HTTP Tunneling: Connects to the MeetingPlaza server without using a proxy server, using only the HTTP port.

HTTP Tunneling: Connects to the MeetingPlaza server through a proxy server, using only the HTTP port. The user must specify the port on the proxy server.

Dedicated MeetingPlaza proxy: Connects to the MeetingPlaza server using a dedicated MeetingPlaza proxy server. The user must specify the host name, TCP port, and UDP port for the dedicated proxy server.

Login/Logout: Logs in and out of the conference room. (Connects and disconnects from the server.)

Connection Wizard: Uses a configuration wizard to walk the user through the connection method to the MeetingPlaza server.
